On the complaint of the daughter of the farmer leader in Hamirpur district, the Kotwali police has registered a case against the wife, children of the sub-inspector posted in Kanpur, 15 unidentified women and 10 unidentified men under various sections including robbery, rioting. Diksha Rajput, daughter of farmer leader Niranjan Singh Rajput, told in the complaint given to the police station that on July 18, 2022, she had taken a house on rent from Sub-Inspector Veer Singh Yadav for five years.
In which she runs a restaurant. She had also signed an agreement for this. On June 4 at 10:30 pm, the landlord’s wife Pushparani entered his restaurant with her son Kshitij alias Babi, daughter and 15 women and 10 men and started vandalizing and throwing things. The restaurant’s helper Ajay stopped her and informed him over the phone. On which Kshitij snatched his mobile phone and beat him up.
The said people also took away Rs 50,000 kept in the piggy bank and broke the CCTV cameras installed in the restaurant and took away the DVR. They suffered a loss of about one lakh rupees. Based on the complaint, the Kotwali police have registered a case against Inspector Veer Singh Yadav’s wife Pushparani, son Kshitij alias Babi, daughter and 15 unidentified women and 10 unidentified men under various sections including rioting, assault, robbery, threat to kill. Police station in-charge Anoop Singh said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered and investigation is being carried out.
Department accused of harassment
Meanwhile, Inspector Veer Singh Yadav has called the case a conspiracy. He said that the rent has not been paid for more than a year, and on top of that, a false case has been registered against his family. He said that this is happening with the connivance of the police.
